• Set up the room: designate a "diaper changing station," a "kitchen area" and a "play area."
• Bring quarters, a sealed plastic bag of laundry soap for the machines and liquid soap for laundry in the sink. But don't be ashamed to give in and pay the big bucks for big convenience for hotel service laundry if it makes sense for your vacation.
• Divvy up tasks with your partner according to strengths.
• Pack the diaper bag (or beach bag or day bag) and lay out everyone's outfits the night prior to avoid scrambling in the morning.
• Vary adult fun and kid fun activities so everyone enjoys the vacation.
• Stagger busy days and mellow days.
• Don't over schedule!
• Take time to slow down and savor the moment!
